Caris Announces Enhanced Epic Partnership
By integrating test ordering and resulting directly into Epic ORA, Caris can streamline clinical workflows for physicians and offer access to structured genomic data all within their Epic environment.
Caris is the first partner with whole exome and whole transcriptome sequencing capabilities to join Epic’s ORA network and plans to continue collaborating with EHR systems on new ways to integrate genomic results into patient care and education.
Caris Molecular Profiling Now Available in OncoEMR Platform
Caris’ entire suite of broad molecular profiling services, including comprehensive DNA and RNA sequencing, is now available for ordering within the OncoEMR® network.
The Molecular Profiling Integration between OncoEMR and Caris enables data-driven clinical decision making for over 2,000 clinicians within the Flatiron network, made up of more than 800 unique cancer care locations across the country. Through the Molecular Profiling Integration, users can easily submit Caris orders with fewer clicks and less data entry, track real-time status updates, and receive the results directly within OncoEMR.

Caris Secure Connect agent is a lightweight application that works to automate secure HIPAA compliant file transfers between organizations and Caris. The communication between the agent and Caris Secure Connect is encrypted using SSL/TLS, eliminating the need to establish and maintain a VPN. The authentication is a multi-step secure process establishing trust between the agent and Caris Secure Connect.
Caris Secure Connect agent can be installed onto almost any server or workstation where file transfers or workflows need to be performed.
