Dr. Valeriy Domenyuk joined Caris Life Sciences in 2012 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. He provides strategic leadership for Caris’ laboratory genomics technology initiatives, responsible for practical implementation of innovations in clinical assays development and the advancement of laboratory automation. His role is pivotal in ensuring that the company’s comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) assays are based on cutting-edge unparalleled technologies, allowing efficient infrastructure scaling to support long-term growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Caris, Dr. Domenyuk played a critical role in establishing a technology for the rapid development of new synthetic antimicrobial antibodies, using peptide microarrays, at Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University (ASU). As a part of Chemistry and Biochemistry Department of ASU, Dr. Domenyuk got experience in the development of the core technologies for the Next Generation Sequencing and advanced it by introducing ligation-mediated anchoring of the DNA template.
Dr. Domenyuk received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, Diploma of Specialist in Molecular Biology and Genetics at I.I. Mechnikov Odessa State University in Odessa, Ukraine. He earned his PhD in Molecular Genetics at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of NASU in Kiev, Ukraine.
