St. Jude Crosson Cancer Institute

The St. Jude Crosson Cancer Institute board-certified medical oncologists and hematologists expertly treat a wide variety of cancers, using advances in chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunology to return patients to their families and lives. These cancer experts – part of the St. Jude Heritage Center for Hematology and Oncology – are using cancer vaccines, targeted cellular therapies and other breakthroughs in care to more successfully treat cancer than ever thought possible.

By exceeding national standards and demonstrating an absolute commitment to excellence, our physicians are one of only a handful of oncology practices in the state to be recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) Program.

Many experts, one cause

Partnering with medical oncologists are some of Southern California’s most respected surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, research nurses, and other cancer specialists, ensuring comprehensive, highly coordinated care. Weekly conferences allow the entire team to review a patient’s care, discuss treatment options, and contribute their expertise. With a dozen different disciplines participating, these conferences ensure the latest concepts in cancer treatment are evaluated and applied.

Infusion therapy

The Infusion Center, located at St. Jude Medical Center, is staffed by specially-trained oncology nurses—each with Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification—who are passionate about the care they give patients. A dedicated oncology nurse educator is also available to support patients receiving oral chemotherapies.
