Partners
Caris Life Sciences™ works closely with carefully selected partners who share Caris's commitment to bringing cutting-edge diagnostic technologies to drive the evolution of personalized medicine. Through these collaborations, Caris is able to realize the promise and the power of advanced molecular techniques to improve patient outcomes and decrease healthcare costs.
Caris has collaborations with the following institutions:
Translational Genomics Research Institute, Phoenix, Arizona
The mission of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is to make and translate genomic discoveries into advances in human health. Translational genomics research is a relatively new field that applies knowledge from the Human Genome Project to the development of diagnostics, prognostics and therapies for cancer, neurological disorders, diabetes and other complex diseases. Led by Dr. Jeffrey Trent, TGen has recruited scientists who are world leaders in fields such as oncology, neurogenomics, diabetes, and bioinformatics. TGen is focused on personalized medicine and aims to quickly drive its research from the laboratory to the clinic. The institute plans to accomplish its goal through robust disease-focused research programs and state-of-the-art bioinformatics and computational biology facilities. TGen's internal scientific prowess is complemented by a multitude of research collaborations and partnerships.
TGen Drug Development
One of the TGen’s affiliates, TGen Drug Development (TD2), provides consultation services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies who are engaged in developing drugs for treating cancer. Their “De-Risk” platform allows companies to speed and refine the design and execution of clinical trials in a way that shortens drug-development cycles and improves their success rates. The TD2 team is led by Dr. Daniel Von Hoff, Executive Vice President and Director of the Translational Drug Development Division at TGen, and a world-renowned expert in oncology drug development and clinical trial design.
The BioDesign Institute at Arizona State University (ASU)
The BioDesign Institute at ASU is focused on improving health care through the use of personalized medicine and outpacing the global threat of infectious diseases using teams of scientists with expertise in the biosciences, engineering and advanced computing. The institute is a partner in the Personalized Medicine Consortium led by Nobel Laureate Dr. Lee Hartwell, Co-Director, Center for Sustainable Health, The Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University
Scottsdale Healthcare
Scottsdale Healthcare is a non-profit organization that serves the health care needs of patients in the Northeast Valley area of metropolitan Phoenix. This organization is composed of three campuses, three hospitals, outpatient centers, home health services and a wide range of community health education and outreach programs.
